Mary began developing her one-woman show in 1993 in Susan Batson’s Monday night workshop, a class designed for students to develop their own work. The show began as a 15 minute storyline and was then opened up to an hour long piece. The plot was followed through song from Broadway to pop, jazz, opera, rock and rap. Mary had celebrated showings in NYC (29th Street Rep), Charlotte, NC (Charlotte Rep & CPCC Summer Theatre) and San Francisco (Cable Car Theatre). In 1998, (five years since it’s inception) the AGBU (Armenian General Benevolent Union) and Darren Lee Cole of Cole Theatrical produced her show, now 90 minutes long, for a 7 week run in Los Angeles at the Coast Playhouse. Rave reviews followed.
